In 1978, there was a void in real estate sales in eastern Manatee County. There were also very few sales associates selling acreage in Myakka City. Barbara Anson, our owner, saw potential growth opportunities and started Barbara Anson Real Estate.
More than 37 years later, she and her associates dominated the area in the residential and commercial industry. Together, they have logged more than $100 million in sales.
Meet Barbara
When our founder isn’t working, she likes to practice shooting on her property next to the pond. Once a year, whistling ducks migrate and pass through her home. She enjoys feeding them—so much so that she goes through 50 pounds of whole corn in a week!
Barbara enjoys what she does, but she would rather be driving than sitting behind a desk. She is a proud supporter of K-Kids Myakka and Kiwanis Lakewood Ranch.
